My husband, Ron, and I live in Rosarito, Mexico, where we serve as missionaries with YUGO Ministries. We moved here from Wisconsin in May 2010 to begin a home building program in the Rosarito/Tijuana area, called Casas de Esperanza (Homes of Hope). My husband is YUGO's Director of Construction Ministries at our Rosarito Outreach Center. I work on YUGO's website, as well as take pictures and put together slideshows for projects and outreach teams that come to Mexico. We have two children, Brittany (12) and William (8). They are both homeschooled. We attend Calvary Chapel Rosarito, a bilingual church here in Rosarito, where my husband and I are both involved in the tech and music ministries. My love for photography began when I was very young. I began photographing weddings for family and friends in 2000. I had also done senior and family portraits during this time. In 2006 I decided to put the talents that God has given me to work, and officially began my own photography business called Captured Memories Photography. I've seen many family and friends pay ridiculous amounts of money for their family portraits, their children's senior portraits and for their own wedding pictures. Often times for weddings, bride and grooms do not receive all of their photos for the large amount of money they spend. That is why I put together affordable portrait packages and include a full set of 4x6 prints for all of our wedding clients.
We specialize in weddings, senior portraits and family portraits in the greater San Diego area. While we are currently living and doing ministry in Mexico, we live less than thirty minutes from the California border. This allows us to be able to easily travel to and work in the San Diego area. For as much as we would like to be able to focus completely on our ministry here in Mexico, and not have to work otherwise, the fact is that we are only able to work in Mexico because of the generous donations of family, friends, individuals and churches. At this time, God has provided about 50% of our monthly income needed, and we are confident that we are doing what He wants us to do, and where He wants us to do it. We are relying on our photography business to provide the rest of the income needed. Therefore, 100% of Captured Memories' profits are donated to support our family in this ministry.
